According to numerous gaming news sites surrounding the Microsoft E3 Press Conference. SQUARE ENIX's Yoichi Wada has stated that F.N.C's project; FFXIII is also indeed headed to the 360 as well.

FF going multi-platform was inevitable, especially with development costs on the rise. Wiser to release a few big name titles that are sure to sell to widely diverse market. The announcement pretty much helped me decide on putting off purchasing a PS3, hopefully other franchises follow Square-Enix's lead.

Only if M$ is willing to shell out money. Companies will eventually get wise to the fact taht they can just demand a certain amount of money and M$ will shell it out. Especially with M$ saying they are willing to pay for exclusive content and/or exclusive titles for a set period of time.

This multiplatform crap of once exclusive games will be short lived once they start demanding money that will put the profit margin for M$'s game tax up in the range of just breaking even. Especially if they start to take advantage of Blu-Ray which is something that will start to happen.

I am anti-multiplatform, well to be more correct, I am anti-multiplatform of once exclusive titles. Multiplatforming just means games need to be toned down in content and/or size. It takes a lot of work to make a game look nice and the nicer games need to look to appease people, the more time and money will be put into just compression to make games look nice/just as nice as the other platforms counter part. So that means one game has to take a hit for content and/or looks.

The console that will be taking the hit sure as hell shouldn't be the PS3 as there is upwards of 50gb of storage avaliable there for the developers to use while the 360 has 8.5 (Don't argue that it's 9, I have dual layers sitting right next to me). Of course, what should and shouldn't happen isn't going to be the final result. I'm sure M$ is willing to pay studios and developers to kick the PS3's quality down too just to make them look on par

Multi-disc games is not an option either as for each extra disc that is included in the package runs production cost up for the developers/studio (UNless they are in bed with M$ AKA Bungie) by something like 4bucks. And they can't enforce that difference onto the customers so that means they have to shell it out and hope the game sells more.

So they are stuck at a cross road of making the game look nice and actually go with the level of quality they originally set out to use or it means they compress compress and compress. Albeit, I'm not talking to the quality of MGS4 as that is just a blatent disregard of using anything other than lossless quality, but there still is a far bit of compression when you compare a 360 game to a PS3 game that is multiplatform just because of the size of the discs (Oh yeah, did I mention that M$ tells the developers that they don't want them to make multi-disc games? I think it's more than $4 per disc just because they don't like it while Sony is all for it as they just want money)
